Or was there?
Of course there was!
So, at the competition, we did ok-ish, we probably could have done better… Lemme explain:
First off: Our allies could have been a little better…
Secondly: The operator needed more practice…
Thirdly: Murphy’s law decided to have a little fun with us? I dunno
Anyway, we managed to squeak into 10th place by the end of the qualifiers, but we were CHOSEN (yay we were recognized as a team to have!) for an alliance by the 3rd place team! So (obviously) we were put into the elimination rounds.
Things went well until…
One of our alliance partners’ robots decided to die in the middle of the match, and obstructed our path for the rest of the match, so we didn’t do too well… We were cut from the competition, as we failed to win 2 out of the 3 matches required to move on to the semi-finals and beyond.
So, packed up and ready to go, we decided to stay for the results of the competition, and good thing we did, cause we won DESIGN AWARD again! Hurrah! (One less team to compete against in Worlds, heh…)
So yeah, the competition turned out ok, but it could have been better. As always, we learned about a lot of things that need to be fixed, so the time between now and our next competition in March is going to be spent fixing stuff… Again…
Anyway, see you round!
